We have been continuing to advertise the photo workshops and will start with our first two sessions this Wednesday. In addition, I will be doing some one-on-one outings with photographers--"photo walks" where we can shoot together and learn from each other as we explore together through the lens.
I am really excited for the opportunity to share and learn with other photographers here in their country. Hopefully, we will be able to share some of the workshops images here online.
Just down the road from the gallery is the Institute of Fashion. I was able to meet with the director, some faculty, and the head administrator who have all been very encouraging and supportive. They are quick to share the English they know and patiently teach me some new Arabic words/phrases and mix in some more familiar French (did I really take three years of French!?)
