Morning View

The weather here has been wonderful--especially being mindful of seasonal temperatures being "enjoyed" back home. The daytime highs are mid-20's and nighttime temperatures around mid-teens. Since (most) homes do not have central heating or insulation (and are actually quite "drafty") it is nice that temperatures have been somewhat warmer than normal for this time of year as it can be quite "cold" at night (realizing this term is relative).

Speaking of varying temperatures, I have yet to figure out how to regulate the water temperature in the shower. The water quickly shifts from freezing to scalding making timing ever so critical when shampooing and soaping. I may not have figured out how to adjust the water heater (actually have never seen the water heater) but I do having the timing down and have managed not to burn myself...although the water has lots of chlorine so that has it's own lasting sensation...good for hygiene I suppose.
