Nejib Chouk

Last week I heard about a photo exhibition at the Cultural Center here in Monastir. The exhibit featured three photographers including Nejib Chouk--well known Tunisian photographer whose work is featured in many books, exhibits, and a majority of the postcards here.

The director of the Cultural Center told us that Nejib would be at a reception in a neighboring town (Ouardanine) the following day and we would be welcome to attend. We had a quick-but-genuine interaction (before the government officials came and everyone jumped into line) and Nejib said he would be open to going out to photograph with me in the capital, Tunis. So, that is a "we-shall-see?!" opportunity but it would be great if it works out....
