En Route

After a very red-eye flight I made it over to England. Truth be told is wasn't too bad; my own tv screen for movies and the Office (!), an empty seat beside me to "stretch" out in whilst having my seatbelt on and visible, and a tail wind which shaved a whole hour off our flying time. So, hats off to Air Canada!

After an express train, the Tube, and another commuter train I made it to my en route destination in South London. Having a bit of time before meeting up with friends I managed to stay out of the pouring (pouring!) rain and enjoy a nice cup 'o coffee and a toasted tomato & cheese sandwich (said ever so brilliantly with a British accent...grilled cheese never sounded so classy!) Then I met up with my friends, enjoyed wedding stories and photos, and then the time came for traditional English fare: fish and chips! After a day (night) of travel I did suggest a lighter meal when they asked my preference but when the fish-&-chips option presented itself it was a must. Thanks Gem and Sim for your hospitality!

Then next morning it was up and out again for a morning flight to Tunis. Once again the friendly tailwinds were working for us so it was a nice easy flight over. All my luggage greeted me (and 27 degree air!) and I was off on the shuttle en route to Sousse. I admit that the photos are, well, through-the-windowish so I made them black & white to sort of redeem them with an "arty" touch. I did leave one in colour just to do the olive trees some justice.

Tomorrow I am off to another town where I will settle in a certainly have more photos and stories to share...stay tuned!
